Main Street Music Refund and Return Policy
Returns Policy
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase that exhibits no faults, Main Street Music will accept a returned item if it is unopened, unused, with the original tags and packaging still intact. Any modifications or alterations will be refused. The product(s) must be in its original packaging and in the same brand-new condition that they were received. If the item has been used or exhibits signs of accidental damage, the item will be deemed as ‘Used’ and therefore terminating the standard returns policy. Returns may be initiated in store or by contacting George via george@mainstreetmusic.co.uk
Main Street Music does not accept returns for used, custom, or bespoke order items unless there is a manufacturers fault, in this instance the item will be replaced like for like where possible.
If you wish to return your item, there must be a request made to Main Street Music within 14 days of the purchase date.
Refunds
Once your item is returned, the item will be fully inspected to determine whether it meets the returns criteria, and an appropriate refund will be issued to the original payment provider. A handling fee of £15 may be applied, and any damages will be accounted for. The money will be refunded to your original method of payment within two weeks. All payment companies are different in the amount of time it takes to confirm a payment, so it will likely take a minimum of a few days for the refund to show up in your bank statement.
Exchanges
In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged or defective new item, Main Street Music will be happy to exchange the item for another one where possible. Please contact George via george@mainstreetmusic.co.uk or return it in store within 14 days of the purchase date to begin the process. Part-payment via mainstreetmusic.co.uk If an item has been reserved online via mainstreetmusic.co.uk and a deposit has been received, you have 30 days to collect your item unless postage has been arranged. If the item is not collected within 30 days, the deposit is non-refundable unless the seller’s discretion is applied for unique circumstances. If you are unhappy with the item once purchased, please see ‘Returns policy’. All items are under ownership of Main Street Music and will not leave the premises until paid in full.
Warranty
You will receive a 12 month warranty from Main Street Music on any new item purchased. Each manufacturer has an individual warranty on items, please check your warranty information provided upon purchase as it may be longer for some items. Return Shipping
Buyer is responsible for postage costs unless the item is faulty. Specialised packaging for instruments can be arranged at an extra cost if original packaging has been disposed of.
Reduced, Sale Items
If the item is marked “reduced, sale”, it does not qualify for a return and cannot be refunded.
Payments via Paypal
Paypal will no longer return its processing fees, therefore if any order is placed using Paypal and then cancelled, your refund will be processed back to you minus these fees.
