Epiphone 1971 - 5102T Made in Japan
A beautiful example of an early cherry red 5102T which has benefited from a full (period correct) re-wire with original pickups and modern pots. It has the cool original tremolo with wooden decor. Machine heads appear to have been replaced with Kluson Deluxe.
Frets are well worn, but set up nicely with low action as it is. Neck has been shimmed.
Gibson abandoned manufacturing of Epiphone-branded instruments in 1969 and started importing Epiphone-branded instruments from the Matsumoku company in 1970. The model was quickly renamed and updated as the EA-250 around 1975.
Made famous by Noel Gallagher.
